I'm applying Danish oil to some oak furniture, and the instructions say to apply three coats with 6 hours in between each coat. However, I had to leave it for 24 hours after the first coat. Can I just continue from here, or do I need to do something special before I start again? Thanks!

You should be fine to start again! While 6 hours is the recommended minimum, many users find that it often takes longer for the oil to dry completely. Personally, I used to let it sit for about 24 hours between coats, which worked better for me. Trust your instincts on this one!
I've never been a fan of Danish oil in my professional work - it can turn into a sticky mess no matter how long you leave it. But if it’s working for you, go ahead! Just make sure it’s the right kind of oil you're using.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll keep an eye on the consistency and how it feels.
Honestly, I believe the longer you wait, the better off you'll be. Just make sure your coats are super thin as you layer them up later on. It helps with adhesion and gives you a nice finish!

Yeah, I agree! It can vary a lot with humidity and temperature, so just make sure it feels dry before you apply the next coat.
