How Long Can My Plants Last Without Delivery?

I recently placed a large order with an online nursery, and they were scheduled to ship out on Tuesday. However, there were issues with the delivery company, Evri, and now my plants have been stuck in a warehouse, waiting for a 'specialist courier.' The order includes bare root roses, astilbe, and several live plants like hydrangeas, azaleas, and more. Evri hasn't provided a clear delivery date yet, but I'm hoping to get them by Monday or Tuesday. Given this delay, what are the chances that any of my plants will survive? Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Honestly, it's been a nightmare—after waiting nearly 28 days already, I'm considering asking for a refund.

It could be worse! In spring, most plants are just waking up, so they won’t dry out or overheat as easily. I had a similar experience with some plants from Eastern Europe that took longer than expected, and they ended up being fine. Fingers crossed for your delivery!
