I'm not very experienced with DIY projects, but I have a question about drilling walls. I think that after I drill, the wall might still release some dust or small particles even hours later, maybe even after a full day. Is that true? If so, how much dust are we talking about? I'm concerned because it would make sense to keep cups and food away from the drilled area for some time, right? I want to make sure I'm taking the right precautions even after I clean up immediately after drilling.

Honestly, you’re way more likely to have random dust or particles in your cups from daily living than from drilling. Unless you’re drilling a ton of holes really close to where your food is, it should be fine. Just clean up well after you’re done and you should be all set!
Just grab a vacuum and clean around the holes you drilled, and that should take care of it. If you don’t see any debris after cleaning up, you’re good! There won’t be a lot of dust lingering after you finish and clean up properly.
Yeah, once you stop drilling, significant dust creation pretty much ends. Just make sure to dust off the wall thoroughly afterward to clean up any remaining particles.
