Given my busy work schedule, the shorter method sounds way easier, but I don't want to risk my plants dying. Has anyone tried the online seller's method, and what do you think?

If you're around during the day, starting with an hour of sun and gradually increasing the time works well. But if you're working all day, sticking to the shady spot for a while could be a safer bet. Honestly, a bit of shade is rejuvenating compared to a sunny window indoors, so it might be the way to go for your plants.
The seller's advice isn't too far off! Just remember to keep an eye on them; start in partial shade and gradually introduce sunlight. If they show any signs of wilting, give them a break and move them back to shade. The goal is to slowly acclimate them to full sun without stressing them out too much.
I'd definitely follow the package directions! 10-14 days seems excessive to me. Keep your seedlings hydrated and watch for any sign of stress or sunburn on the leaves. If you see any, just dial back the sun exposure a bit and try again. They'll adapt!
