I recently repotted several plants, including a Peace Lily, Spider Plant, Jade Plant, Tradescantia Zebrina, and some white/green pothos. I used nursery pots with drainage holes and mixed in Miracle Grow indoor potting soil with perlite, adjusting the ratios for each type of plant. For the Jade Plant, I opted for Miracle Grow succulent soil mixed with perlite. After repotting, I watered them generously with water mixed with BTI to prevent gnat issues. Now, I'm wondering how long it usually takes to see if the repotting was successful. If something goes wrong, would I notice it within a day or two? Also, do I need to keep treating for gnats, or is that a one-time deal?

You'll usually start to see how your plants are reacting within the first two weeks. Some stress might show up quickly, but it can also take a little longer for them to settle in. Just keep an eye on how quickly the soil dries out and watch for any new growth. Also, remember that different seasons can affect how you care for them—springtime is a great growing season, but off-seasons might change your watering routine. Perlite should help with drainage, so you're likely on the right track!

What do you mean about it being tough to water during the off-season? Is it because water will take longer to evaporate?
