Hey everyone! I just re-potted all my houseplants because they were super dry—definitely underwatered before getting settled into their new pots. I've heard that it's good to wait a bit before watering post-re-potting to prevent root rot and give the roots some time to recover, but I'm not sure how long that should be. I'd really appreciate any advice you can share! Just to add, these are indoor plants sitting on a windowsill, with about half of them under grow lights.

What I do is wait until the plant looks like it needs water in a day or two after re-potting. I let it rest for a couple of days after the move and then water it. It seems to work for me, though I don't have any scientific backing for it!
I actually water right away after re-potting to help settle the new soil. After that, I go back to my usual watering schedule, keeping an eye out for signs that the plant needs a drink.
Typically, you should wait around a few days up to two weeks before watering after re-potting. But it’s all about listening to your plants—if they’re still dry and thirsty, don’t hesitate to water them when they show signs of needing it!
