I'm thinking about getting a Flexboss21 for my garage, but I've seen mixed comments about how loud the fan can be. I'm especially curious about how audible it will be from the street outside when people walk by in the mornings, as well as how it sounds inside the house through a standard door. If anyone has one and can share a video of the fan in action, that would be super helpful!

I have an 18kpv, and it's pretty quiet until it hits around 6kw. In my basement, it's only a little noticeable upstairs, but if your garage door isn’t insulated, they might catch a bit of sound. Insulating your garage door could really help with that, though!
Hey, I just ordered my Flexboss21, and I'm in the same boat! I'm really hoping someone will share a video too. Also, I've heard that the fan speed depends more on the amount of solar input rather than the temperature, which is kind of odd. Someone mentioned it only kicks in fully once it hits 6k input. That might be something to keep in mind!
From what I've gathered, the Flexboss21 actually has a different fan than the FB18. I’ve got my FB18 in my basement next to my office, and it’s quieter than my water heater! Just a heads-up, if you have batteries in the system, it could make a difference in noise levels too.
That’s good info! I did see that it might have a different design, which could affect how loud it is.

Yeah, I read the same thing. It’s interesting how the fan operates based on that input!
