I'm using four 18-gallon sterilite bins as planters for potatoes this year. I'm also planning to plant pole beans to climb up a tomato cage. I'm curious about how many of each type of plant I can fit in each bin without compromising their growth or yield.

You should primarily focus on the beans in those bins. If you want to keep your potatoes healthy, it's best to halve the number of beans you plant in each container to ensure they don’t compete too much for resources.
