How Many Small Trees Can I Plant in My Small Garden?

Hey everyone! I've got a garden space that's 10 meters long and 5 meters wide, which faces south. I'm planning to create a mini forest by planting some small trees, ideally ones that won't grow taller than 4 meters, with just a couple that might reach 6 meters. I'm also considering using pots for some of them. How many trees do you think I could fit without overcrowding? Should I make sure they're at least 4 meters away from the house to prevent any potential damage? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like a fun project! Just make sure not to cram too many in there. You might end up overwhelming your space. Maybe start with a couple of pots and a few planted directly in the ground. You can always add more later if you feel like you have enough space!

Totally agree! Balancing it out will help keep the garden vibrant without making it too crowded. Plus, you'll get a chance to see how they grow before adding more!

You might want to think about training some of the trees along your fences as cordons or espaliers. This technique can help you fit more trees in your garden while keeping it looking neat and tidy. Plus, it takes up less space vertically!
