I'm looking to earthquake retrofit my single-story home, which is about 1300 square feet and has a crawl space. Can anyone share insights on the costs involved?

Are you thinking of doing the retrofit yourself, or are you planning to hire someone? It can make a big difference in price!

I’m considering both options since I’m in the Los Angeles area.

If you're in California, you might want to look into the Brace & Bolt grant program. It could help reduce your costs significantly!

We actually used the Brace & Bolt program for our 1300 sqft home built in the 1960s with a crawl space. It only cost us around $300 out of pocket in the end, totaling about $3300 for everything!
