How Much Does It Really Cost to Move a Kitchen During a Remodel?

I've just bought a house that's pretty much a fixer-upper and want to remodel. The layout is outdated, and the kitchen is stuck in the far south corner of the house. We're planning to completely overhaul the floor plan and move the kitchen to the far north side. I'm curious about how expensive it might be to relocate the kitchen, especially since we'll need to move plumbing and everything else. Anyone have insights on potential costs?

I just went through this myself, and I can say it's definitely on the pricier side. It all depends on your current setup and what needs to be updated, but being down to the studs is a plus. Just make sure you have the right contractors who understand your plans.

Moving a kitchen can be quite costly, especially if you're dealing with a slab foundation. That can really hike up plumbing costs, but since you're starting from scratch with a gutted house, you might save some money on framing. Expect to spend roughly 10-15% more than your original kitchen budget if everything's straightforward.
