I'm curious about your gardening expenses for the 2025 season! How much money have you spent so far, and what were your biggest expenses? Personally, I've made a lot of my purchases at Dollar Tree, but local home improvement stores and Walmart have been crucial too. Right now, I'm estimating I've spent around $250 on soil, plastic containers, seeds, and watering equipment. How do you feel about the value you're getting from your gardening investments?

I think I've spent about $3,500 this season! My biggest purchase was a garden cart for around $150. It's been a lifesaver for my back while working in the garden! Definitely worth it considering how much easier it makes everything.
I'm on the lower end with maybe $50 for seeds and I reused most of my containers. I bought some soil last fall on clearance, but I'm not sure if I should count that in this year's expenses. I used to spend a ton on perennials, but now I just go with what thrives in my garden.
I’m with you on that! I’ve got some seeds out there and fingers crossed they make it. What do you use for germinating? Just the solo cups?
I'm probably in the ballpark of $600, mainly from setting up new raised beds and buying materials for fencing to keep the critters out. I also got a ton of new plants, so I'm hopeful it'll all pay off in the long run!
Nice! What kind of plants are you getting? I'm thinking of investing in some new fruits this year.
Wow, that's a lot! What brand of cart did you get? I could use something like that too.
