I'm in an area where it's expected to rain for the next four days and want to let my succulents soak up some of that rainwater. However, I'm worried about overwatering and causing root rot. I have my jade plant, which I'm nurturing back to health, and a small elephant bush, both planted in well-draining pots made of 50% perlite and 50% succulent soil. Can anyone help me figure out how much rainwater is safe for them?

I keep my outdoor succulents uncovered, and they love when it rains, even for weeks at a time. No extra work for me, and they thrive! Just keep an eye on them, especially if the forecast calls for constant rain.
I’ve had my plants get rained on for a week at a time during winter, and they’ve been perfectly fine. If your soil drains well and the pots aren’t oversized for the plants, they should handle four days of rain without any issues.
The big question is whether your plants actually need water right now. If they do, then let them enjoy a nice soaking. A full day of heavy rain shouldn’t hurt as long as your pots have good drainage.
