Hey everyone! I recently purchased two slabs of honed Perla venata for my kitchen island and perimeter with a full-height backsplash. I double-checked that I was completely satisfied with the layout before it went into production. However, upon installation, I noticed they swapped the slabs during cutting, and now the veining looks entirely different from what I originally approved. They offered to replace the slabs, but since I bought them months ago, there's no more stock left from that lot, which I loved, and the new options just don't compare. Considering these slabs were quite pricey due to their quality, plus I'm moving in this Sunday, what percentage discount should I reasonably ask for? I want to be ready to negotiate since they'll get back to me with a compensation offer tomorrow. Any advice would be really helpful!

Since this situation is entirely their fault, you might want to aim high—possibly up to 50% off. They should take responsibility for the mistake, and that seems like a fair amount to start with.
I’d suggest around 20%. It’s a significant blunder on their part, but you want to balance that with what they could potentially offer.
Honestly, its value might be almost nothing to them now that it doesn’t match what you ordered. If that’s the case, maybe consider asking for something close to a 100% discount? Just a thought!
