I'm getting ready to move out in a month, and while packing, I noticed some damage on the floor that I think might have been caused by my recliner scraping against it. I'm really worried about how much this might cost to fix. Any idea on how much I should offer my landlord for this? I've added a photo of the damage for reference!

To really give you a solid estimate, a photo of the damage would be super helpful. Without seeing it, it’s tough to say, but if the flooring is laminate or some kind of composite, the costs might be lower than you think. If it’s hardwood, it could be pricier! Generally, for minor scratches or surface damage, you might be looking at a couple of hundred dollars, but it's best to get a clear look first.
I'd suggest showing a picture to get a better idea of what kind of repair might be needed. Is your floor wood or something else? If it’s not real wood, you could be looking at a simpler fix. Just make sure to act fast, and your landlord might even be willing to work something out with you!
