I'm planning to install a 10W flood light on the exterior wall of my house, and I intend to run the wiring into the roof where I've got some sockets. I plan to use a WiFi plug to schedule the light. Currently, I've successfully set up two outdoor IP cameras using a similar approach, both plugged into surge protector plugs for added safety. I'm considering purchasing either a 10W or 20W flood light from Temu, but I'm also seeing options for 30, 40, and 50W. Is this setup safe, or will I end up regretting this decision?

Listen, if you're going to put in all that work and climb up on ladders to install this stuff, don’t skimp on the quality of the floodlight. Spending a bit more on a reputable brand is totally worth it for the peace of mind.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying any electrical items from Temu. It's better to hit up a local hardware store and get something that's Underwriter's Laboratories listed. That way, you know it's safe and meets the necessary standards for outdoor use.
10W is pretty low! Just to give you perspective, before LEDs, many setups used dual 150W bulbs. As long as you do the wiring right, you should be in the clear. A 10 or 20W floodlight shouldn't overload typical outdoor circuits, especially since you're already using those cameras safely. Just ensure all your connections are made for outdoor use and well-sealed to avoid water issues. Oh, and PVC conduit is a good idea for protecting the wire. Be careful with that 50W option unless you're sure your roof circuit can handle it.
