How often do you find yourself screaming into your hands when no one’s around?

I've had a rough time lately, struggling with both finances and personal relationships. Just yesterday, I caught myself burying my face in my hands and screaming without even realizing it. It felt surprisingly cathartic, even if it didn't change my situation at all. I'm curious – how often do others do this? Is it a normal way to release stress?

You’re definitely not alone! I wouldn’t say I scream incoherently, but I get that urge to just yell out a loud ‘FUCK!’ when things get really overwhelming – like when my roof started leaking again after spending loads to fix it. It’s a good way to let off steam without any negative consequences. Letting yourself acknowledge that life can really suck is a huge part of dealing with it, and then figuring out how to make it better afterward is key.

I’m with you on this! I've had a few times where I’ve just yelled in my car, thinking maybe 4-5 times in my life. It helps relieve some of that pressure!

Totally gets it! Yelling can feel weirdly refreshing, and it’s healthy to express that frustration.

I don't scream at all, but I definitely understand your frustration. Some people might think it sounds silly, but if you aren't hurting anyone, just go for it! If it works for you, why not embrace it? Just don’t forget to seek more constructive ways to handle stuff if it ever feels overwhelming.

Right? Everyone needs to vent somehow. If yelling gives you relief without harm, then it's all good.

For sure! We all have different ways of coping, just gotta find what works best for you.

Honestly, I never scream like that. If I’m feeling frustrated, I might sit in silence with my face in my hands or go for a run. I think it helps a lot more than yelling. If talking about it helps, I totally recommend journaling to manage that stress and keep things from building up.

That sounds like a solid approach! I also find that taking a long walk or doing some yoga really helps me clear my mind.

I hear you. Journaling has been a game-changer for me too, keeping my thoughts and feelings in check.
