How Often Should I Water My Snake Plant?

I've been struggling to keep my snake plants alive, and I think it's because I'm overwatering them. I'm curious about how often everyone else waters their snake plants and what conditions you keep them in. I have very low natural light, so I use grow lights for about 12 hours a day, and my plants are indoors. What works for you?

For my snake plants, I usually water them about 8 to 10 times a year. Sometimes it can go a couple of months without any water. I've had one for 20 years, and it's still going strong!

Really? So it's fewer than once a month! What kind of light do you have it in? It sounds like indoors?
