I'm trying to figure out how often to water my succulents since I live in a dry and hot climate. I use clay pots with a mix of cactus/succulent soil and pumice, and my plants get a lot of direct sun. The soil dries out really quickly after watering according to my moisture meter and wooden sticks. However, I'm hesitant to water too often out of fear of overwatering, even when I notice wrinkled leaves. Can anyone advice me on the shortest watering interval you use for similar conditions?

Honestly, I just look for signs of thirst in my succulents. If the leaves start looking deflated or wrinkly, that’s my cue to water. It’s better to let them tell you when they need it instead of sticking to a strict schedule.
In Australia, during the hot summer, I water my succulents every 2-3 weeks. Just keep an eye on their leaves—if they’re still firm and hard, hold off on watering. I also prefer bottom watering for a deep soak, which might work for you too!
