I shave around 2-3 times a week, but I'm often uncertain about when it's best to replace my razor blades. I've looked online for advice, but the answers vary quite a bit. For the men out there, how do you decide when to swap out your blades? I'm currently using Harry's blades, but I'd appreciate any general tips that apply to different types!

I tend to change my blades every 7-10 days. I usually replace it whenever it starts to tug—to me, that's the clear sign it needs changing.
It mainly comes down to the thickness of your beard and how it feels when shaving. If you notice it tugging or not cutting smoothly, it's time to replace your blade.
Exactly! Don't worry about an exact schedule; just listen to how the blade feels during use.
I personally shave about once a week with my Gillette Pro Fusion and can stretch a blade to around 2 months. Just keep in mind that it also depends on how you use your razor and maybe even your skin type!
I do the same with Mach 3 blades—those last me for quite a while too since I shave right after showering!
So I have this leather strop to sharpen my safety razor blades. It can actually extend the life of a blade quite a bit, up to 6-9 months! Just gotta stay away from rust.
Wow, that’s a clever trick! I’ve heard about using denim to sharpen blades too, but I haven’t tried it yet.

That's pretty much my rule, too! Helps keep the shave nice and clean.
