I've used neem oil to deter aphids and it worked pretty well. Plus, it's safe to use on various plants. Just make sure you're following the right application guidelines!
I've had success using neem oil in my garden, especially when I noticed powdery mildew on my squash. It didn't completely fix the issue since I applied it a bit late, but it did help slow things down.
