How Should I Fix Cracks in My Garage Floor?

Asked By CleverPineapple42 On

I have some cracks in my garage floor and I'm looking for the best ways to fill them in. I've attached an image for reference. My plan for the space is to set up a home gym in the back corner using rubber horse stall mats, park an electric car inside (not doing any repairs), and use it for storage and table tennis. What do you all recommend? Thanks!

First, make sure to clean the cracks really well. After that, you might want to use mortar repair caulk. Just be careful while applying it; if you're not, it could end up looking worse!

If you’re willing to invest a little more, splurging on a polyurea floor coating is a solid choice. They’ll typically grind down any cracks and seal them before applying the coating, which not only looks great but is functional too. I've parked my cars on mine without any issues. Just be aware, it can be a bit expensive, but it could also add value to your home in the long run!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely get some quotes and see if it fits my budget.

You’ve got a few options. One is just to live with it if the cracks aren't too severe. But if you want a cleaner look, consider using a self-leveling sealer to fill them in. It's pretty straightforward!

Thanks! I’m thinking about getting quotes for a polyurea coating, but if that ends up too pricey, I guess I’ll clean it as best as I can.
