Hey everyone! I need some guidance on how to properly trim my jade plants. They were originally a part of my wife's wedding bouquet, and I want to ensure they thrive for years to come. Could anyone share tips on the best places to make the cuts? I really appreciate your help!

I’d suggest also considering moving your jade plants into bigger pots if they’re feeling cramped. A pot that's about 3 inches wider would give them plenty of room to grow. But definitely don’t forget to trim as part of that repotting process! What do you think about that?

Hey! When trimming jade plants, I typically prune them about every 5 to 6 sets of leaves. This encourages branching and helps the trunk grow thicker, making it sturdier. Looking at your plants, the first one already seems well branched, but the second might need some attention. You might want to cut just above the first set of branches and propagate those cuttings right into the same pot. It’ll create a fuller look! Just remember to let the cuttings sit out for about 48 hours to callus before planting them in the soil. Also, cutting above a set of leaves will guide the new growth direction, so plan accordingly!
