How Thick Should My Standing Desk Top Be?

I'm in the market for a standing desk and I'm confused about the thickness of the tabletop. I've seen advice ranging from 1" to 2" thick, and I'm curious if the thickness really impacts the desk's performance. I've heard that thinner bamboo tops can cause monitor wobble while heavier, thicker butcher blocks stabilize things better. I definitely want something that won't warp after a couple of years. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm also considering getting a thicker top with a budget-friendly frame to save some cash.

I went for a 1.5" top, and it looks awesome! Honestly, I think that thickness strikes a good balance between style and stability. Just be sure it’s not too thick for your setup; you might need to adjust your chair or use a keyboard tray to keep everything comfortable.

Yeah, I used to think thicker always meant better too, but comfort matters more than just the thickness.
