I'm looking to install a stool on my office windows for some plants, but right now the windows are just finished drywall with no casing. I'm unsure if I'll need to remove the drywall first or if I can just attach the stool to the drywall as it is. I've checked out plenty of YouTube videos, but they all seem to focus on unfinished windows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! You might want to consider getting some photos of your setup for better advice. It's hard to give specific recommendations without seeing how everything is laid out!
If you're into simpler solutions, consider getting a cat perch that hooks onto the window track. It can hold plants and they’re typically much cheaper with no construction needed!
You can usually just attach the stool directly to the drywall without removing it. Just make sure to use some good anchors so it holds up under the weight of your plants!
Yeah, definitely use wall anchors. It’ll give you the support you need without pulling the drywall.
