How to Address Moisture Issues in My Wall?

Hey everyone! I just bought a house, and during the building and pest inspection, they found some elevated but not alarming moisture levels in one of the walls. I'm looking to get this checked out further but I'm unsure who I should reach out to about it. The inspection company mentioned a plumber, but there's no plumbing in that wall, so that seems off to me. I've tried searching online, but I feel like I'm missing some important terms or guidance! Any help would be appreciated!

You might want to consider a general contractor as well! They can help identify potential issues with the wall and may be able to fix it if they find a problem. Just make sure they have experience with moisture issues specifically.

It sounds like you've got some water damage on your hands! The first step is to get a pro's eyes on it. Usually, a building inspector or a specialized home inspector can take a closer look. They might suggest creating inspection holes to find out exactly where the moisture is coming from. If it’s an external wall, check for things like bad window flashing or missing caulk, which can let water in.

That makes sense! Thanks for clarifying who I should contact about this.
