Hey everyone, I'm working on making my garden look great for the summer and I've run into a bit of a hurdle. I've got a fence that belongs to my neighbor on one side, and I asked him if I could paint it to match my side. Unfortunately, he said no. I really don't want to put up my own fence in front of his since I've just replaced my own fencing, and the garden is pretty big. Plus, he's mentioned I can't attach anything or grow plants against his fence either, which has me stumped. I'm looking for creative solutions to make my garden feel cohesive without annoying him. Any ideas would be super appreciated!

Just pop a hedge in there! It’s a perfect solution that gives you privacy and beautifies the space without needing to worry about the fence.
You might try putting some stakes a little away from the fence and running wires or a trellis between them, then plant a climbing plant to cover that area. It’s a neat way to add some greenery without touching the fence itself!
Setting up some freestanding shrubs or a hedge can do wonders. It creates a nice separation from your neighbor and there’s no need to worry about their fence anymore!
Absolutely! I did something similar with a beech hedge and it really helped to hide my neighbor’s not-so-pretty fence. Just check if your side gets enough sun or shade for the plants you choose!
