Hey everyone! I recently lost my mature Japanese maple, and it broke my heart. My husband got me a new one that's about 6 feet tall, but it's pretty young. I'm really anxious about its survival outside and was wondering if it would be better to keep it indoors or in my conservatory. I haven't cared for a young Japanese maple before and I'm feeling quite lost—Google hasn't been much help. Should I keep it inside, or is outside where it belongs?

Japanese maples really don't thrive indoors. They actually prefer being outdoors even in colder weather. Look for a partially shaded area that protects them from the wind. That way, they'll be much happier!

Thank you! I'll make sure to find a better spot outside than where the old one was.
