How to Caulk Gaps to Keep Ants Out of My Room?

I'm looking to seal some gaps in my bedroom to stop ants from crawling in. It's becoming a real nuisance, especially after I found one on my pillow! I don't keep any food in my room, but I still wake up to these unwanted visitors. Has anyone here ever caulked gaps like this? I'm curious about the pros and cons of doing this. Just to clarify, I'm not planning to do this for my whole house, just in my bedroom. Also, would wood filler be a good alternative? I'm totally clueless about this!

You might want to think about using ant bait instead of just caulking. Try putting down some exterior insecticide like Ortho Home Defense, and consider ant baits like Advion or Amdro, both inside and outside. Caulking won't stop them from finding their way in, so baiting could save you time and hassle. Just a heads up, it might take a few weeks for the bait to do its magic!

You're definitely focusing on the symptoms, but the ants will keep coming back if you don't tackle the source. Caulking alone won't fix the problem; you’ll need to treat both inside and outside your home. If you're spraying indoors, try a different brand if the one you're using isn't cutting it. Those ants aren’t going to leave on their own!
