I'm a bit of an amateur woodworker and I'm curious if there are ways to cut dadoes without using a miter gauge. I don't have one for my table saw, but I do have a crosscut sled that I built. However, it's a zero clearance sled, and I'd prefer not to run a 3/4" dado stack through it. If anyone has some straightforward suggestions that don't involve building another dedicated dado crosscut sled, I would really appreciate it!

You know, dado stacks definitely make things quicker, but they're not a must-have. You can use your crosscut sled and just make multiple passes with your regular blade to get the job done.
A router with a straight edge is a fantastic option for cutting dadoes quickly. It's efficient and can give you clean results without the need for special jigs.
If you can spare a little time and around $15, consider just building a basic crosscut sled specifically for dado work. It doesn’t have to be fancy. You can actually check out some YouTube videos that show how to make jigs for finger joints; those designs can work perfectly for dadoes too!
