I'm trying to shorten my 105" countertop by 12", but I'm facing a challenge since it's 25" wide and my miter saw doesn't slide. I'm unsure if they make a sliding miter saw for something this size. Does anyone have tips on how to easily cut the end off and ensure I keep a straight line? Any advice would be appreciated!

You could use a track saw or a regular circular saw with a guide to get a clean cut. It's really effective for wider pieces like your countertop, as long as you have a steady hand!

I have a track saw too, but I'm not sure how to clamp it securely to the countertop unless I let some of it hang off my workbench. Maybe cutting it on the floor with foam underneath could work as a sacrificial material?
