How to Deal with Ants Invading My Luffa Plants?

I'm really frustrated with ants invading my garden! They're covering my luffa plants and destroying the flowers, which means I won't get a harvest this year. I'm having a tough time getting rid of them, even after using bait stations and diatomaceous earth. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

Honestly, I've got a ton of ants in my garden, and while they can farm aphids on plants like peppers, they also do some cool things. I've got a potted pear tree that they've built an amazing maze in. They usually don’t harm the plants; they’re just part of the garden ecosystem. Just be careful that they don’t come into your home!

It sounds like your ants might be farming aphids! I've noticed they do that too. A mix of water and white vinegar worked wonders for me in getting rid of the aphids in my garden. Maybe give that a shot!

If you want to reduce their numbers, try following their trail back to the nest and surrounding the entrance with a mix of powdered sugar and bicarbonate of soda. Just remember, ants play a vital role in a healthy garden, so it might be worth considering living with them instead!
