I recently moved to a new house and have found that mosquitoes are making it impossible to enjoy my garden. I am trying to figure out where they're coming from since there's no stagnant water close by. I'm suspecting it might be my neighbor's overgrown garden with shrubs and weeds. What can I do to keep mosquitoes away? Are there any specific plants that can repel them? I'm looking for non-chemical solutions, so any advice would be really welcome!

Honestly, controlling the mosquitoes around you can be tricky. Make sure you and your neighbors aren’t creating any breeding spots in your lawns. Overwatering can definitely lead to them sticking around. Plus, check if there's a local mosquito control service that can provide more tailored advice for your area!
Have you heard of Thermacell? It's super effective if you're in a place where it's available. You just turn it on for about 15 minutes and it creates a zone where mosquitoes won't bother you. Just keep in mind, it won't work if it's really windy!
Citronella plants are a great option! They work similarly to citronella candles in keeping mosquitoes at bay. Interestingly, I have a large garden but hardly get bothered by mosquitoes, so maybe it's about the plants you have. Just be careful with how you handle them since they need to release their oils to be effective against bugs.
