I just moved into a new place and the previous owner painted the kids' bedroom molding teal. I'm planning to repaint it white, but I've noticed that the teal paint peels off really easily. I want to avoid just painting over it if it's going to come off again. What's the best way to handle this? Should I strip all the old paint, or is there a product that can help? I’m with you on this—don't just paint over it. Scrape off the loose paint and then use a product like Peel Stop. It helps bind down the peeling areas before you prime and paint over it. Much better solution in the long run!
