How to Deal with Security Camera Holes in Shingles?

Hey everyone! I recently moved into a house in the Pacific Northwest, and I've been patching up some holes I found throughout the place. One hole particularly freaks me out because of its odd shape. It looks like the previous owners drilled through a wall to run security camera wires. I'm a bit lost on how to handle this as it's my first time replacing shingles in this area. Any tips on how to approach this would be super helpful!

That definitely screams fixer-upper! At least the previous owners were transparent about their... 'improvements.' Just be cautious; big openings like that might invite pests into your attic or walls. Make sure to check for any signs of unwanted guests!

Wow, that hole is something else! Be careful - that looks like it could be a home for some critters. When you reattach the wires for the cameras, remember to create a drip loop to prevent water from running down the line into your house. It’s a small detail but can save you from water damage later!
