How to Disable the Audio Passthrough on Parkside Ear Defenders?

Hey everyone! I recently got a pair of Parkside Ear Defenders that feature audio passthrough, and I'm having some trouble with it. While they work okay considering the price, they're a bit too small and feel a bit flimsy. The main issue is that the audio passthrough activates whenever no audio is playing, which means I hear outside sounds and it's pretty annoying. I'd prefer to have silence instead. Does anyone know how to turn off this passthrough function?

I can't recall the exact steps, but you can definitely disable the passthrough feature. I ended up returning mine for the same reasons you mentioned, especially because the sound quality when using passthrough was disappointing.

I found a workaround for the issue! I just put a small piece of tape over the microphone. Since I don't need the passthrough feature—it's easier for me to just take the headphones off when someone wants to talk—this does the job. They block out noise really well when I’m using loud tools, so I’m still satisfied with them overall.
