Hey everyone! I'm trying to replace a leaky water spigot, but I need to find the water shutoff for my house first. My home inspection report from five years ago says that the shutoff is located at the crawlspace access point. The problem is, I can't locate that access point anywhere! I've already reached out to the inspection company and the seller's realtor, but they've been no help. I even pulled up the carpet in my closets, but it's tacked down and glued, which makes me think there couldn't be a trapdoor there. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can find this access point?

If you have any wooden steps leading into your house from the garage or a similar area, try checking there! Access points are often hidden under those types of stairs.
Your crawlspace access is usually found outside the home. Have you looked around the perimeter of your house? Sometimes it can be sneaky and hidden away there!
I appreciate the suggestion! The inspection report says it's inside, but it didn't specify where. The exterior has asbestos siding, so I doubt it's built in there. My front yard is pretty clear, but the back is just gravel.

Thanks for your input! It’s actually a single-story ranch house, and the only stairs I have are pull-down stairs that lead to the attic.
