How to Find the Right Power Supply for My Device?

Hey everyone! I have a bit of a conundrum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I own this light-up statue, but there's absolutely no information on it about what kind of AC adapter I should use — no voltage (V) or ampere (A) details anywhere on the device. I really want to know how to figure out the correct specifications. Is there a way to test this device, or any tricks to find the right power supply? Thanks in advance!

Finding the right specs can be tricky if you don't know what's inside the device. If you're comfortable doing so, sharing the make and model or a picture might help others give you better advice. Also, if there's an FCC compliance number, you can look that up to find more details about the device.

You're right, it's important to figure out not just the volts and amps, but also whether they are AC or DC. Start with the connectors on the adapter too, as different devices use different types. That might give you some clues about what specs you need.
