How to Find the Right Shade of White Paint for My Apartment?

I'm in search of the perfect white paint for my apartment walls, which are likely around 10 years old. I've tried using those sample color cards (not sure what they're called), but even though I find what seems like a close match, it always ends up looking different once I take it to the shop and get it mixed. I've tested about six shades of white, and none seem to match once they dry. I'm hoping to avoid repainting all my walls when I move out. By the way, I live in Germany, which could be relevant. Any advice?

If you're in the US, people usually take a paint chip sample to the store for color matching. It's also important to know the type of sheen (like flat, satin, or gloss) because that affects the final look. However, keep in mind that it might not match perfectly, so the best approach could be to paint one entire wall to blend it better after you find a shade that's close enough.

Thank you! Unfortunately, German walls are apparently made of solid granite, so that complicates things a bit. Looks like I might just have to paint a whole wall!
