How to Fix a Bad Paint Job Before Moving Out?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind here. We're moving out and had to repaint some walls. We initially bought a small can of white paint and a roller, but as we started painting, we realized we actually need to cover the entire wall. The problem is, now that the paint's dried, there are uneven spots—some parts look darker and shiny under certain lights. I'm wondering if buying a larger can of paint and a bigger roller to repaint the whole wall could help fix this mess. I've attached some photos for reference. Any advice?

Honestly, just applying a primer first and then painting over might save the day. It can help level everything out before you do the final coat of paint. Just be aware, you might want to consider doing a full wall paint instead; otherwise, it'll still stand out.

There are tons of paint types out there, especially whites, so if you don’t match the exact finish and color, it might still look patchy. Plus, they could charge you anyway if it looks off. I'd say accept it and move on rather than spend more on this. Just remember—practice on smaller projects next time, like a sheet of drywall! It’s cheaper to learn that way.

Yeah, even if you get the right color, it’s tough to get a seamless look without doing the whole wall. Just buy a bigger can of paint and go for it! But definitely check with your landlord before doing any more painting in the future.
