How to Fix a Detaching Kitchen Island Temporarily?

Asked By CraftyPenguin92 On

I just discovered that the left side of my kitchen island is coming loose. Since I'm planning to do a full kitchen renovation in about a year, what's the best short-term fix to reattach it? I'm thinking a few screws and some wood glue might work, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Using wood glue along with some brad nails from the outside should do the trick. Alternatively, you could use glue and pocket screws from the inside for a more secure hold. Both methods should provide a solid temporary fix until your renovation.

Thanks for the advice! What size nails would you recommend for this?
