I'm having trouble with my Milwaukee M12 impact driver because the bit is stuck in the chuck. I've heard about pulling the knurled piece at the base to release it, but I'd really appreciate any additional advice or troubleshooting steps to figure out what's going on. Thanks!

If the bit is stuck, try grabbing it with a pair of pliers and give it a little twist in reverse. Sometimes that helps to loosen it up. If enough of the hex shank is sticking out, you could also use a drill chuck to grip it while adjusting the collar to relieve pressure from the retaining ball. Make sure the bit isn't just locked in place by the impact itself—try running the impact in reverse to see if that helps.

That's smart! I had no idea running it in reverse could help. I'll definitely give that a try.
