Hey everyone! I just bought a DeWalt miter saw and decided to upgrade the blade with a Diablo one. However, I'm having a problem - the new blade doesn't seem to clamp securely onto the arbor. Even after tightening, it spins freely after the spindle stops. I noticed the new blade is much thinner than the old one, which I've tested and works fine, so I think I've ruled out installation issues. I also used the included reduction ring to adjust the bore size from 30mm to 25.4mm. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a fix, or am I limited to using blades of a certain thickness? I'd appreciate any advice!

It sounds like you might have picked up a thin kerf blade when your saw is meant for a full kerf blade. They aren’t usually ideal for miter saws since the arbor nut might not tighten properly. You could try using a spacer washer to help secure it, or better yet, just switch back to a full kerf blade for best results.

I'm interested in trying a spacer washer. Is that just a regular washer or something specific?
