How to Fix Basement Leaks After Heavy Rain?

We've had quite a bit of rain in the last day, and I've noticed some small puddles forming on the unfinished floor of my basement, particularly near the walls. Although there doesn't seem to be any visible water damage on the drywall, I'm concerned that water may be seeping through the foundation underneath. Since I live in a condo with an HOA, I'm wondering what steps I should take to address this issue. Also, could this be something the HOA needs to handle if it relates to the foundation?

Also, take a look at your gutters and downspouts. If they're clogged or nonexistent, that can lead to water pooling around your foundation. Since you mentioned you don't have them, ensure the ground slopes away from the building to prevent water from collecting at your walls. Even your patio could be contributing to the problem!

We're actually lacking gutters, but I did notice standing water on the patio right above one leak, so that could be an issue too. As for the other leak, it seems like it's coming from a recessed window.

First off, check if you have a sump pit with a pump; that can really help manage standing water in basements. If you do, make sure it’s functioning properly to avoid water build-up. It's a lifesaver in these situations!

We do have a sump pit, and it seems to be working well.
