I've got a problem with my outdoor faucet—it has really low water pressure and can barely run a sprinkler. There's no leak, and it feels secure, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Are there any adjustments I can make myself, or do I need to call a plumber? What can they do to help? I'm not super handy, but I'm eager to learn more about fixing things myself. Thanks in advance!

Make sure to check if there's an inside shutoff valve for the faucet. Sometimes these valves are partially closed, which can really diminish pressure. Check your basement or crawlspace just to be safe!
If your home is older, the outdoor spigot may be connected to a galvanized water line. Over time, these pipes can get clogged with rust, which would explain the low pressure. Try checking where the line comes into your home, especially in the basement, to see what kind of pipes you have. That could be a big clue!
You might also want to think about the pressure regulator if you have one. It could be causing the low output. Generally, I’d recommend calling a plumber to take a look and see if there's deeper issues.

Yeah, galvanized steel pipes tend to rust from the inside out, which definitely limits water flow. Good catch!
