Hey everyone! About a year ago, we had our AC checked because it was leaking from what looked like the external pipe. The technician did some work, but we later discovered he installed the fans backwards! Fast forward to now, and we've noticed water accumulating again in the garage, which seems to be leaking. I'm really worried about this and just want to get a second opinion before calling someone else. It's frustrating to find a decent AC company nowadays. Also, is it normal for the fan to blow air down and suck in leaves? My understanding of AC systems is pretty limited, so any help or insights you could give based on my pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like what you’re seeing might just be condensate from the AC unit. When warm, humid air hits the cold coils, it creates condensation that should ideally be drained away. If water is pooling, it could mean your condensate drain is blocked or the pump isn't working right. You mentioned that it's not coming from the pipe itself, so that’s definitely something to investigate. You might want to check the drain pan too!
Just to clarify, what exactly is leaking? Is it the inside unit or the outside unit? If it’s water, it usually relates to the condensate line. Sometimes those can get clogged, or the pump could be toast. Based on what you’ve said, the backwards fan shouldn't impact leaking. Airflow is important, but as long as it’s moving air over the coils, it should be fine. Still, it might be worth getting a professional to check it out if it's a persistent issue.

We do have the outside condensation pipe that directs the water out. But I really don't get why this is still happening. Is there an easy fix for this?
