How to Fix My Bad Hardwood Floor Repair?

Hey everyone, I had a contractor repair some damaged hardwood flooring in my three bedrooms, but I'm really not happy with how it turned out. The finish looks overly glossy and just doesn't match up with the original floor. I've shared some before and after photos [here](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lOxHyu46tWWsFOMRsomQ0CFv_vk56pDI?usp=sharing). Is this kind of result typical or acceptable for a repair? If it's not, does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this issue? Thanks for your help!

The glossy poly is definitely a concern, especially if it's causing that 'new' patchy look next to the old wood. From what I've gathered, the contractor should be able to sand down the poly without too much hassle. Just double-check that he’s applying it evenly afterward. Keep in mind that getting a second opinion from another flooring expert might be a good idea!

It looks like there are some serious issues with the poly finish, especially those weird puddles. That doesn't seem normal for a repair job. Honestly, you might want to consult with a legal expert if you're truly unhappy with the work. If it's just the finish that's off, sanding it down could be a straightforward fix, but make sure the contractor knows what he's doing this time around.
