How to Fix Separation in My Wood Floor?

I'm dealing with separation issues in my wood flooring across the living room. I have a floating wood floor, and I've noticed gaps forming, especially near the sink and fridge. I'm wondering if using wood filler would solve the problem, and if so, how can I find a filler that matches the color of my planks?

It sounds like your floor might have some underlying issues causing the separation. Filling gaps can be a quick fix, but it won’t address the root problem. Before you proceed with fillers, it's essential to investigate why the floor is separating in the first place. Things like humidity or temperature fluctuations might be affecting it. Just to clarify, do you have solid hardwood or is it a floating floor made of laminate or LVP? If it's real hardwood, make sure you're maintaining good humidity and temperature levels in your home. Once that's sorted, then you could look into fillers if needed. But letting a flooring professional assess the situation might be the best bet!

Thanks for the advice! I really don’t know much about flooring, so I appreciate the suggestions.
