How to Fix Squeaking Under Vinyl Flooring Without Removal?

I recently had new vinyl sheet flooring installed over a subfloor, but I've noticed it's squeaking in a small area right in front of my stove and refrigerator. It's particularly annoying, and there's a crawlspace underneath the flooring. Is there a way to silence the squeak without tearing up the new vinyl? I've identified the specific 12-inch square area where the noise is coming from.

Great tip! If you can get into the crawlspace, just locate that squeaky area and add screws from below into the subfloor. This usually does the trick without needing to mess with the vinyl. Good luck!

If you're able to access the crawlspace, try going underneath while someone walks over the squeaky spot. This way, you can identify if the squeak is being caused by a gap between the subfloor and the joist. If it is, you can install some shims or toenail in a few screws to secure it better and hopefully eliminate the noise.
