How to Get Hot Water Without a Water Heater?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for suggestions on how to get hot water in my small house temporarily since my gas supply has been shut off due to a leak. I live in Phoenix and have called some plumbers, but the earliest anyone can come out is next Tuesday. I'd love to hear if anyone has dealt with a similar situation and what solutions worked for them. Thanks!

If your oven is electric, you could heat water in there! Microwaving small amounts is another option. Just make sure you don't try it with a gas oven since you don’t have gas right now.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't think of using the oven. I’ll give it a try.

You might also want to look into camping showers. They typically use a black bag that warms water in the sunlight. Pretty handy for temporary situations!

You could consider getting a Planet Fitness membership and using their showers until your hot water situation is sorted. If you have a butane or propane grill, that could work too! Just heat up some water in pots or pans.

A simple trick is to lay out several hundred feet of black hose in the sun. It can really heat the water up nicely! Also, if you have an electric hot pot, that can work wonders too.
